There's a spot at Jurong Lake Gardens that has become my quiet refuge - a place where the world seems to pause just for me. It's nothing just a bench beneath a towering banyan tree with a view of the lake.
Every time I settle into this spot, I feel an immediate sense of calm wash over me. rustling of the leaves overhead, gentle ripple of the water, and the chatter of birds all blend into a symphony of peace. It's as if this spot has been waiting for me, holding space for my thoughts, worries, fears and hopes.
In these moments, I find myself letting go of the rush and noise that fills my days. Here, I'm not just a guide- I'm simply ME, I am who I AM. The simplicity of this place reminds me that it's okay to slow down, to breathe deeply and just be present. It's in the stillness that I reconnect with the core of who I am, finding clarity and comfort in the embrace of nature.
What about you? Have you taken a moment to sit quietly and observe the world around you? I invite you to try something simple yet profoundly peaceful- a sit spot.
This place could be anywhere- a cozy corner in your garden, a bench in your park, or even a spot by your window with a view of the trees or sky. Wherever you feel more at ease, take a few moments each day to sit, breathe and just observe.
I'd love to hear your experience! Where is your favourite place to practice your Sit Spot.
